International Word of the Week #4

Impressive words that are just #bizarre but you should know.

This programme is made because we are in an international school.

Today's word is:

Pineapple

Language: English

Part of speech: Noun

Pronunciation: pYn' ap'pul

Definition: A fruit originated from South America.

Random fact about this word: English is an oddball. Literally the rest of the continent says Ananas and yet English (and Spanish actually) decided to name the fruit something else. Even Arabic and Hindi says Ananas. So really, what is the pineapple?
